11月に発行予定の日本語の原稿を 物は試しにAIを使って 英語に訳してもらったところ 「AIと過激派は相いれない」 という自分なりの答えが出る 最初に気になったのは タイトルの提案で いくつか案を出してくれたものの その中から 「私の一番のお気に入り」とお勧めされ って、私って誰？気に入るって誰が？ と突っ込みだしたら 「この数日間、一緒にこのエッセイを形にしていく過程は、私にとってもとても楽しい時間でした。」 って、誰が楽しんでるの？ 「翻訳のお手伝いをしながら、私自身もとても考えさせられる作品でした。」 って、私自身とか考えさせられるとか何？ などとAIの文章に違和感を持ち始め （これも設定で変えられるのか？ もっと機械的な文章にしろと？） 最初の文章は誉め言葉で始まって ずっとコメントを読んでいくと 「実際、このエッセイは日本を否定しているわけではありませんよね。」 と書かれて いや、結構否定的な事 はっきり書いてますけど もしかして誘導してないか？ ニュートラルに持っていこうとしてる？ （これももっと注文すれば 過激な方向に振り切ってくれるのか？） Anyway, ものの数秒でぱっと英文を作ってくれて こんな表現を 自分でも書けるようになれたらなぁと この表現を真似していけば 英語の勉強になりそう！となる 一方で 「AIに書いてもらえばよくね？」 何も自分でゼロから英作しなくても 数秒でスペルミスも文法ミスも無い 伝わる英語を書いてくれるのなら それでよくね？となる気持ちも分かり IELTSのテストで 鉛筆使ってグラフを英語で描写する ライティングしたり リスニングで聞き取った単語を スペルアウトしたりする 英語能力を図る試験は 相変わらず世の中に存在していて なんだかちょっとやりきれない感じ どうでしょうか 今どきの若者 AIも使いながら IELTSも勉強できるのでしょうか もとい 今どきでも若者でもない自分にも 課せられる まだまだ必要な英語学習 やっぱりまだ 「AIでよくね？」 となってはいけなかったか 子どもに勧められたミキの漫才 「理不尽」に学ぶ世の中の理 https://youtu.be/yJT5O61lPvY?si=MhgeNMXxnRcA3JUQ

※追記 Computer Basedで受験して 3日で結果が来ました！ クラスメイトには ”Exciting！”言われましたが こちらの心情としては ほっとしたというのが ほんとのところで Anyway, 日本で必死に勉強した経験が ここで活きてきたかと 費やした時間とお金は 決して無駄ではなかった などど 後から意味づけ 勝手に自分を励ましてます 教員をやめて オーストラリアの大学院に 留学しようと決めてから お世話になっている？ 足掛け６年目に突入の？ IELTS Journey 結果的には 大学院に入学するためのスコア Speaking, Listeningを８ Writing, Readingを７ なんてのには全然届かないまま 進路変更でカナダのカレッジにいます 今回は保育士として 永住権を申請するために必要な 英語力の証明ということで 詳細は International Graduates in Demand Stream Application Guide にありますが 大学院入学に比べたら Listening, Writing, Speakingは５ Readingに至っては４ という感じで しかもこれまで受験していた Academicではなく Generalモジュール そして初めて日本以外での受験 結果が早く出るのと やったこともあるしということで Computer Basedを受験 会場もカレッジの近くにあり よく知っている場所で こちらもストレスフリー Listening 設問を確認して 「ここはLast nameのスペルだな」 と予想できるも いざ問題が流れると 「あれFirst nameは言わないの？」 とすでに書かれている名前を 目で追っていて準備していたら 聞こえてくるアルファベットが違い 戸惑う戸惑う しかし速攻で 切り替え切り替え 問題はどんどん進んでいくので 一度聞き逃した問題は 無理やり無視する強いメンタルで どんどん次に進んでいきます 慣れたもんです Reading こちら直前にAcademicの Readingを 復習していたら 全然違って😓 ４つの短いReading ・観光スポットの説明 ・仕事探しのヒント ・仕事内容の説明 ・料理クラブの詳細 最後に長めの記事 ・Algonquin公園の歴史 といったもので もちろん 設...

We waited the rocket ship to blast off. I've always believed that turning fear into fun is the gift of creativiry. High reputation beats high similarity.
