For my speaking test which I'm going to take this afternoon, I'll review my test in English.
Writing
Because I made up my mind to take IELTS on paper based, I had a lot of energy to tackle handwriting on the test. I had checked lots of descriptive expressions of graphs all the way to the test center on the train, such as ' to a point, somewhere in the vicinity of.' For Task 1, unfortunately, a diagram was on the paper. I quickly turned on another switch to look for the phrases for describing it. The topic of Task 2 was which experiences have more influence, before schooling or in teenage giving both sides and my opinion.
✔ time management, better handwriting
✖ less prepared for a diagram description, misunderstanding of the question in the beginning, time consuming of recalling uncommon topic specific words (infancy, toddler, adolescence), little tense variety, few conditional sentences
Reading
It was the first time for me to feel much confident on my almost all answers! I could find a third answers just after skimming, spend merely15 minutes for section 2 and distinguish tricky questions sparing time to read the passage carefully. If my guesses were all collect, the score will be perfect!? The topics were the history of child, whole grain and space.
✔ time management (like a 20 minute timer in my body), good skimming skill, definitely paper test is far easier to read, underline key words and find answers than computer based test
❔ should I doublecheck my answers which were done just after skimming??
Listening
This time, Part 1 was quite hard and I missed a couple of answers. However, I quickly tried to pull myself together and focus on the next part. In the Part 3, an accident happened and I thought I was lucky, but while I was off my guard, I missed two more answers again... Security is the greatest enemy...
✔ quick mood change, relaxed
✖ off my guard, relaxed too much
Let's see if this time can be the revenge of the previous test!!
